About NIC 

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) was set-up in March' 1977 by the Government of India to provide computer based information services to Government departments. Today NIC, is a premier Information Technology organization in India which is committed to provide state-of-the-art, solutions for the IT needs of the Government of India at all levels. NIC carries the distinction of being the largest IT Organization in the Country and has set up a satellite based nationwide computer communication network, called NICNET, with over 1400 nodes connecting the National Capital, the State Capitals and the District Headquarters to one another.

The organizational set up of NIC encompasses its Headquarters at New Delhi, state units in all the 29 State capitals and 6 Union Territory Headquarters and District centres in more than 540 Districts of India. The Organization employs a large pool of efficient technical manpower

NIC District Centre Pali

NIC District Centre at Pali was established in the year 1990.  The Centre is operational in District Collectorate building. Two officials District Informatics Officer(DIO) and District Informatics Associate(DIA)  helps the District Administration and other District officialsin creating computer culture in administration and  the coardination through IT. The Centre has established its worth as a district level agenceyin the administrative and public related work.  NIC centre has the Internet link of All India Satellite Based Computer Communication Network, NICNET. The district centre is equipped with high speed VSAT, Unix & Windows servers, client windows systems and terminals for catering the communication and other needs of the district administration and various district offices. Depending on the wide variety of work, NIC has various working environments like UNIX, Windows and Linux.  The major projects Implemented by the NIC district centre are:

Land Records Computerisation (LRC) : Data feeding and verification work of all tehsils has been completed in time. Six tehsil have been made operational where computerised nakal is being issued to farmer. New Chausala Jamabandi generation work has also been completed at district level.
 
Treasury Computerisation System(TCS) :  Treasury Computerisation project has been implemented successfully. Computer isaion at subtreasury level has also implemented in all subtreasuries. All the subtreasuries are also connected to treasury via NICNET

District Court Computerisation System(DCS) : Computerisation of district court has also been implemented in time.  Salary bills of district court has also computerised.
